After a quick look at your website and Myspace I can't see anywhere what type of music you play apart from 'alternative' - maybe you should be making it clearer?

"xtra. every friday at the light bar, wolverhampton. UK playing indie, alternative, classics etc. + a live band 9.30pm - 2am The only real alternative on a friday night. "
at the bottom of the page on our website.

"xtra. every friday at the light bar, wolverhampton. UK playing indie, alternative, classics etc. + a live band 9.30pm - 2am The only real alternative on a friday night. " at the bottom of the page on our website. So what classes as alternative? Or classics for that matter?

what we play varies from week to week.
jo plays more of the classics....ranging from led zep to pixies, dylan to the ramones
kev plays more brit pop.....oasis, ocean colour scene, cast, mansun,
dave plays.....a bit of everything, baggies hits from stone roses and happy mondays to primal scream and charlatans, and newer, stuff as well as requests.
and when i dj.....i play a bit of everything too, mainly newer stuff, the pippettes, le tigre, sons and daughters, we start fires, pj harvey, through to older favourites, garbage, cardigans, elastica
hope this helps

GAH GENRE WAR WE BEEN HERE BEFORE! Music is music There are three types Rock, indie, metal. The rest are, RnB, Drum n Bass, Rap, Dance, Pop, classical and country. We all listened to that song cotton eye joe where did ya come from where did ya gooo... so we all liked country at one point.. dont try and deny it.. i bet you know the words and your singin them right now...

im not trying to 'war' with anyone.
just thought that 'indie classics and alternatives' speaks for itself really, if you are into indie you'll know the songs we play.
but obviously not, ive passed the opinion on to the person behind the web design that you think we should include a list of the music we play.

i wasn't getting stressed.
the whole 'genre' thing is pointless.
if people are going to a rock night they generally know what tto expect, as do the pople that come to our indie night.
i wasn't beefing with anyone i promise

You'd be surprised, the amount of rock nights I've been to that play nothing but Indie... 'Alternative' nights that seem to play anything from rap to Indie to hip hop to Nu Metal and everything else that may have at one point been played on kerrang, its a sad case that common sense doesn't always win over, but it seems clear clarification of some of the stuff played is needed at a lot of clubs.
