Peter Kay is a class act... saw him when I was at uni, in a room holding no more than 100 people, and he was so funny he gave my mate Dan an asthma attack.
Jimmy Carr was decent when I saw him, but my favourite of all time is a guy I've seen at sparsely attended stand-up nights a couple of times... an American dude called Reginald D. Hunter, or Reg D. Hunter.
He's like the Samuel L. Jackson of comedy. Only cooler. He's got vids up on his website, but I can't remember what the address is - you'll find him on google though...

I'm with Steve - Peter Kay is head and shoulders above anyoen else alive today.
All time funniest - Bill Hicks!

Check out Eddie Murphy's Raw and Delirious shows from back in the day too - genius stuff.

Lee Evens is alright, I find Peter Kay annoying. That damn Canadian Jim Carrey is a complete fruitcake. I am a corperate puppets, I might grow and be a real boy some day.

peter kay is fawkin hilarious, saw one of his shows on TV and absolutely pissed myself. I also watched an audience with freddie star last night and cried with laughter... i gotta admit, that guy.. you never know what he's gonna do next, completely funny Tom green is quite good too, and rick mayall (not sure on spelling) His voice acting on hogs of war was classic.
